SUMMARY:Artist Reception: Shared Visions
DESCRIPTION:The Riverhead Free Library is hosting an artist reception for the Shared Visions Art Exhibition on Aug. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. \nThe exhibition showcases the works of a group of local artists—Imelda Corcoran Farrell\, Trish DeBlasio\, Fran Liburt\, Bev Wowak\, and Robin Ziemacki—led by Lee Harned\, an art educator of 35 years. The exhibition will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 27. \nAs longtime residents of the North Fork\, these artists share a common sensitivity to the changing colors of the season\, the effect of light on the landscape and surrounding waters\, the wonder of the sunrise and sunset\, as well as the bucolic nature of our farm fields\, vineyards\, architecture\, and winding creeks. \nThey travel the same roads\, view the same sights and some even live in the same neighborhood; however\, they each express themselves individually by infusing a love of the environment in which they live into their work. \nThe exhibition is free to attend.
