DESCRIPTION:The Riverhead Athletic Club is hosting a Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday\, June 21. The event aims to get kids moving and introduce them to various sports and the stars of Riverhead High School athletics. The run will start at 8 a.m.\, with participants released in waves of 10. \nThe event is open to all ages\, with a special focus on children entering pre-K through eighth grade. However\, children under 12 must have a parent or guardian with them for the entirety of the run. This is not a drop-off event. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of sports offered at Riverhead School District. Various sports stations will be set up around the district property (Pulaski- High School)\, where kids will get the chance to meet Riverhead athletes and learn about their sport. \nThe event offers non-member pricing at $10 per child and preferred member pricing at $8 per child. Adults running with their children are free\, and younger siblings under the age of three are free in strollers. Payments can be made via Venmo (@riverheadathleticclub) or Zelle (RiverheadAthleticClub@gmail.com). \nAll proceeds from the event will benefit the Riverhead Athletic Club\, a not-for-profit\, 501(c) organization. Sponsorships are welcomed\, and all donations are tax-deductible.
