The Oysterponds Historical Society will present “Bay to Table: Clams in Oysterponds” Saturday, Sept. 14, from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. at Orient Yacht Club.
Discuss 100 years of clam-eating traditions, including whether tomatoes or cream belong in chowder and when or if an unburied clam can be considered part of a clambake. Led by food historian Charity Robey and Jane Lear, editor of “Feed Me,” Newsday’s magazine for food lovers.
