Book and Bottle: Long Island and WW I

The Suffolk County Historical Society will hold a Book and Bottle talk given by Richard F. Welch on the topic of Long Island and WW I on Thursday, November 8 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Learn how Long Island answered the call to service during the First World War, including the young men who entered the armed forces, the training center at Camp Upton, the factories that built torpedoes, the agricultural industry’s contributions, and more. This event includes a book sale and signing of the author’s newly published book “Long Island and World War I.
