SUMMARY:Jamesport Meeting House Chorus Mother's Day Concert
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Mother’s Day with an afternoon of music at the Jamesport Meeting House Chorus Concert on Sunday\, May 11. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. The Jamesport Meeting House Chorus has planned a diverse musical program\, starting with the contemplative Alleluia by Phillip Hayes\, followed by A Million Dreams by Pasek/Paul\, made famous by Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman. Other performances include the foot-stomping Everybody by Pinkzebra\, the evocative Good Night\, Dear Heart by Dan Forrest\, and Carry the Light by Andy Beck. Special music includes Cantos de Espana: Cordoba (Albeniz) performed by Jeff Wentz\, The Flag Song (Sondheim) sung by Rusty Kransky and Pack Up Your Sorrows (Farina/Marden) sung by Dee Martin. Audience members will also have the opportunity to sing along to Peter\, Paul and Mary favorites: If I had a Hammer\, Leaving on a Jet Plane\, 500 Miles\, Blowing in the Wind\, Four Strong Winds and This Land is Your Land. Suggested donation of $20 at the door is appreciated. Leave the dishes until later and come to the Meeting House to have a LOT OF FUN this Mother’s Day.
