DESCRIPTION:The Riverhead Free Library is hosting the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: Volunteer Expo on Jan. 17\, 2026. This event\, presented by the Heart of Riverhead Civic Association\, provides a platform for attendees to discover numerous ways to honor Dr. King through community service. Local nonprofits will be present to offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. Participants may choose to assist with animal care\, help at events\, work in gardens or food banks\, and much more. The event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free\, and all are welcome to explore and engage in the spirit of service.
