The Suffolk County Historical Society will hold a Book and Bottle talk by Bruce Kagan on December 6 at 6 p.m. The topic of discussion will be Kagan’s new book “Mile Markers of the North Fork.”
Discover the intriguing history of the mile markers that sit on the side of the road of the North Fork and the various stories on how the markers came to line the roads every mile.
Arrive early to see one of the original mile markers in the society’s Early Suffolk Transport Gallery.
