“The Producers” will take the stage at the North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck on three weekends in May and one weekend in June — shows on May 19, 20, 21 and 22 have been rescheduled.
Mel Brooks’ musical features a scheming bombastic producer and mild-mannered accountant that hope to produce the biggest flop on Broadway so they can swindle millions of dollars. However, things go awry when their show is a hit. The show book is by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan with music and lyrics by Mel Brooks.
Show dates and times are: Thursday, May 12 through Sunday, May 15, Thursday and Thursday, May 26 through Sunday, May 29 at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. The show on May 19 at 8 p.m. has been rescheduled to Thursday, June 2 at 8 p.m., May 20 at 8 p.m. to Friday, June 3 at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 21 at 8 p.m. to Sunday, May 29 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 22 at 2:30 p.m. to Monday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m. An additional show has been added for Saturday, June 5 at 2:30 p.m.
