DESCRIPTION:The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a Narcan Training on June 16\, 2025. The training will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. \nNarcan\, also known as Naloxone\, is a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. The training will teach participants how to administer nasal naloxone. Each participant will be given a free Overdose Rescue Kit. The kit includes: \n– Two doses of Naloxone\n– Two fentanyl testing strips\n– Two xylazine testing strips\n– Appropriate PPE\n– Overdose info\n– A certificate of completion \nWhile registration is encouraged\, walk-ins are also welcome. You can register at the Mattituck-Laurel Library’s website. \nThis event is free to attend. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn life-saving skills.
