SUMMARY:Narcan Training at Mattituck-Laurel Library
DESCRIPTION:The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a Narcan Training on March 20. Narcan\, also known as Naloxone\, is a medication used to reverse opioid overdose. This training will teach participants how to administer nasal naloxone. Participants will be given a free Overdose Rescue Kit\, which includes: \n– Two doses of Naloxone\n– Two fentanyl testing strips\n– Two xylazine testing strips\n– Appropriate PPE\n– Overdose info\n– A certificate of completion \nThe training is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged\, but walk-ins are also welcome. To register\, visit the Mattituck-Laurel Library website.
