SUMMARY:PAL football\, flag football and cheerleading registration
DESCRIPTION:The last chance to register for PAL football\,  flag football and cheerleading is coming up April 22. \nRegistration must be completed in person on that date from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverhead Town Senior Center\, 60 Shade Tree Lane\, Riverhead.  \nPAL Football and Flag Football \nFootball – Ages 7-12:  $185 for residents\, $195 for nonresidents. \nChildren ages 7\, 8 and 9:  must be 7\, but not 10\, by Dec. 1. \nChildren ages 10\, 11 and 12: must be 10 but not 13 by Sept. 1. \nFlag Football – Ages 5 and 6: $62 for residents\, $72  for nonresidents. \nChildren ages 5 and 6: must be  5\, but not 7 by Dec.1. \nFootball practice takes place Tuesday\, Thursday & Friday evening at Stotzky Park\, beginning in mid-July. Practices continue throughout the season. \nBring payment of check or money order\, a copy of the child’s birth certificate and proof of grade for football registration. \nPAL Cheerleading \nCheerleading registrants must be entering grades 2 through 6 in fall 2025. \nRegistration fee: $98 for residents\, $108 for nonresidents. \nCheerleading practice takes place Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Stotzky Park\, beginning in mid-July. Practices continue throughout the season. \nCheerleader registrants should wear a bathing suit under their clothing for easy uniform try-on. Bring payment of check or money order for cheerleading registration. \nGames are held on Sundays\, September through November at various fields throughout Suffolk County. Football games vary by age level. The football team will play 8 to 10 games during the season\, half at home. The flag football team will play 6 to 8 games during the season\, half at home. \nCheerleaders cheer at all home and away football games.  \nA one-time discount has been applied to PAL registration fees thanks to the Town of Riverhead providing funding through the Community Benefit Fund. \n
