Pumpkin Carving Contest at East End Arts

Win “Best in Glow” and submit your pumpkin carving masterpiece on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. hosted by East End Arts in conjunction with the Downtown Riverhead Halloweenfest.

All handmade pumpkins of any shape or size are welcome to enter. The pumpkins must be lit by LED or battery powered lights and safe for public display. Each entry will be judged anonymously.

Contestants must drop off the pumpkins for judging between 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the East End Arts Campus — 133 East Main Street in Riverhead.

The winners will be announced on stage during the Halloweenfest Award Ceremony at 7:30 — each prize will be awarded in Downtown dollars with first prize winning $100, second prize $75 and third $50. Winners will be emailed and do not have to be present to accept the prizes.

Owners must pick up the pumpkin after judging or at the end of the awards ceremony. The pumpkin is displayed at the owners risk as East End Arts, Riverhead BID and Town of Riverhead will not hold responsibility for loss or damage.
