“Shed the Meds” event hosted by Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office

Community members are invited to bring unwanted or expired prescriptions or over-the-counter medication to the Riverhead Free Library for incineration on Thursday, June 16 from 12 to 3 p.m.

Free COVID-19 at-home tests will also be distributed as well on a first-come-first-served basis. Liquids and sharps will not be accepted. The medications will be incinerated at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office.
