Group for the East End presents Skull Science with NYC DEC on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. With Halloween just around the corner, this is a perfect time to study animal skulls. Come to Downs Farm Preserve to take a look at the skuls of NYS mammals and try to determine the diet of the animal based on dentition. Educators will point out muscle attachments, eye placement, skull size, and other characteristics to help see the animal through the bones.
There is no cost for this workshop, however a family donation is appreciated. To register, please contact Christine Tylee at 631-765-6450 ext. 208 or email [email protected].
