Fall cleanup includes properly disposing of pollutants, electronics and medication on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riverhead Highway Department.
Riverhead residents are invited to throw out their pollutants and electronics and all are invited to the medication giveback event.
Automotive products, household products, other products, lawns and garden products, unused or used medication and electronic equipment will be accepted for disposal. For a full list of items, visit the Town of Riverhead website.
Do not bring explosive, medical waste, commercial or industrial waster, water or latex based paint, air conditioners, tires, flares and batteries. All containers must be sealed and properly labeled and medication can be in original container or plastic bag.
