DESCRIPTION:The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a series of educational sessions titled ‘The Easy Way to Write Haiku.’ The series is an introduction to the Japanese haiku masters: Basho\, Buson\, and Issa\, encouraging participants to spend time outdoors\, communing with nature. The library will suggest apps to identify birds and native vegetation. The series is divided into three parts\, with the first part starting on July 2\, followed by the second part on July 9\, and the final part on Aug. 6. Participants can join for one or any part of this series. The sessions are particularly designed for those who notice the world around them. The event is free to attend.
