East End Tick & Mosquito Control and Tick Wise Education will host a tick borne disease symposium Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Long Island Aquarium Sea Star Ballroom.
Topics presented include tick borne illnesses and: mental health and addiction, pediatric concerns and learning disabilities; lyme testing challenges, new ICD-11 diagnosis codes and new treatments for Lyme disease, presented by Drs. Robert Bransfield, Dan Cameron, Rosalie Greenberg and Joe Burrascano. Local doctors will also participate in a Q&A discussion.
Book signings and presentations wil be offered by authors Jenna Luche-Thayer and Kris Newby.
Vendors of tick bite prevention products and other wellness items will be available.
