Join us for Willa’s Holiday Extravaganza at the Riverhead Free Library. This festive event will feature holiday songs from Halloween to New Year’s Eve. You’ll hear them everywhere during the holiday season – on TV, radio, and even in drugstores and supermarkets. But have you ever wondered who wrote these songs and what inspired them? Sing along with Willa Bassen as she performs these favorites, from Jingle Bells to White Christmas to Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah song. While enjoying the music, you’ll also learn about the writers, the times in which they wrote the songs, and the sometimes surprising circumstances that led to their creation.
