The Volunteer Expo offers a way for residents to give back locally while supporting great community-based organizations.\n\n \n\nAmong the participating organizations at this year’s expo:\n\n \n\n 	North Fork Animal Welfare League needs volunteers to walk\, train\, socialize and foster the animals waiting to be adopted.\n \n 	River and Roots Community Garden provides garden plots for local residents and sharing the bounty with the community in need. This year\, the NFBHC will honor Simmons Point Group of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC with the NFBHC Corporate Leadership Award. The company\, with an office in Riverhead\, is one of the nation’s most prestigious investment firms. \nLisa and Anthony Sannino will also be honored at the gala with the NFBHC Community Spirit Award for their commitment to supporting the East End breast cancer community.
