SUMMARY:Wine Tasting and Education with Sierra Club at Farrm Vineyard
DESCRIPTION:Join the Sierra Club’s Long Island Group for an afternoon of wine tasting and education at the Farrm Vineyard. The event\, which serves as a fundraiser for the local division of the national environmental organization\, is scheduled for Sept. 27\, 2025\, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to taste organic wines while the owner of the vineyard talks about the process of growing grapes organically and making wine. If the weather permits\, attendees will also enjoy a short walk in the vineyard. \nThe $75 per person admission fee includes a charcuterie spread featuring crackers\, cheeses\, meats\, and condiments. Light music will be played in the background to enhance the ambiance. \nThe Long Island Group of the Sierra Club is an all-volunteer entity that provides free hiking and kayaking events open to the public\, as well as at least 12 indoor education events each year. The group works at the local\, state\, and national levels to protect the natural environment. \nPlease note that this event is not free to attend. Tickets can be purchased on the Sierra Club’s website.

Topics include sustainable local agriculture\, seafood\, coffee roasting and tasting\, organic farming\, and beekeeping. \nTickets are $30 for adults\, free for children under 12. On the day of the event\, tickets can be purchased at any participating Foodie Tour location\, and at Foodie Tour Headquarters at the Peconic Land Trust Agricultural Center at Charnews Farm.

The annual concert\, now in its 32nd year\, combines opera and Broadway favorites for a unique wine-tasting event starting at 7:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. \nThe concert will feature famous arias and duets from operas like La Boheme and Madame Butterfly\, alongside Broadway showstoppers from West Side Story\, Hamilton\, and My Fair Lady. The program also includes Italian and Neapolitan songs\, as well as Spanish and international favorites. \nThe event is hosted by award-winning singer\, actor\, and media personality Cristina Fontanelli\, with guest tenor Paolo Buffagni and a yet-to-be-announced young baritone talent. Russian pianist Alexander Chaplinskiy will provide accompaniment. \nAttendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats and enjoy the award-winning wines of Duck Walk\, which will also be sold during intermission. Guests can bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the outdoor patio. \nTickets range from $30 to $72.50 and are non-refundable. Proceeds support the Opera & Broadway of the Hamptons 5C c-3 project\, which provides performance opportunities and scholarships for local children and youth\, as well as tickets for underprivileged families and veterans.
