Sticks will be provided for those who don’t have one. The cost of the clinic is $10 per child\, payable by checks\, cash\, Zelle\, or Venmo. \nRegistration is open now and walk-ups are also welcome.

DESCRIPTION:The last chance to register for PAL football\,  flag football and cheerleading is coming up April 22. \nRegistration must be completed in person on that date from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverhead Town Senior Center\, 60 Shade Tree Lane\, Riverhead.  \nPAL Football and Flag Football \nFootball – Ages 7-12:  $185 for residents\, $195 for nonresidents. \nChildren ages 7\, 8 and 9:  must be 7\, but not 10\, by Dec. 1. \nChildren ages 10\, 11 and 12: must be 10 but not 13 by Sept. 1. \nFlag Football – Ages 5 and 6: $62 for residents\, $72  for nonresidents. \nChildren ages 5 and 6: must be  5\, but not 7 by Dec.1. \nFootball practice takes place Tuesday\, Thursday & Friday evening at Stotzky Park\, beginning in mid-July. Practices continue throughout the season. \nBring payment of check or money order\, a copy of the child’s birth certificate and proof of grade for football registration. \nPAL Cheerleading \nCheerleading registrants must be entering grades 2 through 6 in fall 2025. \nRegistration fee: $98 for residents\, $108 for nonresidents. \nCheerleading practice takes place Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Stotzky Park\, beginning in mid-July. Practices continue throughout the season. \nCheerleader registrants should wear a bathing suit under their clothing for easy uniform try-on. Bring payment of check or money order for cheerleading registration. \nGames are held on Sundays\, September through November at various fields throughout Suffolk County. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the arrival of spring with the 12th Annual Easter Duck Egg Hunt at Big Duck Ranch\, 1012 Flanders Road\, Flanders. The free event (but bring your own basket) will be held on Saturday\, April 19\,12 noon sharp. Families should arrive by 11:45 a.m.. Rain date: Sunday\, April 26. Free admission. \nThe grass field behind the Big Duck will be dotted with filled plastic “duck eggs” that children 2 to 9 years old can easily find. To make it a safe event\, the children are grouped into three separate age groups.  A prize basket is awarded to “The Good Egg” in each group who discovers the special egg. The family fun will include games and a visit from the Easter Bunny. \nFree parking is available in the back of the field behind the Big Duck. Enter on Otter Old Neck Road\,  just east of the Big Duck. \nFriends of The Big Duck\, a non-profit organization\, manages the Long Island Duck Farming exhibit in the Victorian Barn (open to the public on the day of the egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. \nThe Big Duck is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visit railroad preservation groups and historical societies.  View and purchase items from railroad related vendors and visit the Museum Gift Shop.  See operating toy train layouts in “G” scale\, “O” scale\, “HO” scale\, “N” and “Z” scale.   Tour historic LIRR railcars and locomotives.  Refreshments will be available.  Live music by The Brisket Brothers! \nRide the LIRR “Scoot” and visit the Railroad Museum of Long Island in Greenport. Train departs both days at 10:10 a.m. and returns to Riverhead by 12:30 p.m. “Scoot” tickets are purchased separately onboard the train from the LIRR conductor. Admission to the Riverhead Railroad Festival includes admission to the Greenport museum on the same day. \nThe festival takes place Aug. 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. \nAdmission: $15 for adults\, $8 for children (Children under 5 are free.) \n
