DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Big Duck and the Flanders Village Historical Society will hold their fourth annual tag sale at Big Duck Ranch. Tables in the grass field behind the Big Duck will feature gently used household items\, home decor\, small furniture\, antiques and collectibles. Proceeds benefit both nonprofit organizations. \nThe Long Island Duck Farming Exhibit in the Victorian Barn will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. \nAdmission and parking are free. Drivers should enter at Otter Hole Neck Road\, just east of the Big Duck\, and park in the back of the field. The rain date is Sunday\, June 14.

DESCRIPTION:The Flanders Village Historical Society will host an author talk and book signing with local author and historian Richard A. Wines. Wines will discuss his book\, “A Farm Family on Long Island’s North Fork: The Lost World of the Hallocks and Their Sound Avenue Community\,” which traces the history of an agricultural community on the North Fork through the story of the last family to live in the old homestead at the Hallockville Museum Farm. \nFollowing the talk\, Wines will take questions from the audience and then remain to greet attendees and sign books. Copies will be available for purchase\, and the author will donate a portion of that evening’s book sale proceeds to the historical society.
