DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Big Duck will hold its 14th annual Rubber Duckie Race on Reeves Bay\, with viewing from the lawn of the Flanders Men’s Club\, down the access road just east of the Big Duck. \nThe family-friendly fundraiser is free to attend and benefits Friends of the Big Duck\, steward of Big Duck Ranch. For a $5 donation per entry\, or five entries for $20\, participants are assigned a number that corresponds to a rubber duck launched into Reeves Bay at noon. \nPrize baskets\, including Big Duck items and gift certificates from local merchants\, will be awarded for first\, second\, third and last place. Winners do not need to be present. The event will also include games and giveaways for children\, and a possible surprise guest. \nPre-registration is available online. The rain date is Sunday\, Aug. 23.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Rubber Duck Race is set to return to Reeves Bay on Saturday\, Aug. 23\, 2025. Sponsored by the Flanders Men’s Club\, the event will take place on the lawn of the club\, located just east of The Big Duck. The day will kick off at 11 a.m.\, with the ducks being launched at noon. In case of bad weather\, the rain date is set for the following day\, Sunday\, Aug. 24. \nThe race is organized for the benefit of Friends of The Big Duck. Participants can look forward to prizes for first\, second\, third and last place. Entry to the race requires a $5 donation per entry\, or $20 for five entries. SUMMARY:Easter Duck Egg Hunt at Big Duck Ranch
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the arrival of spring with the 12th Annual Easter Duck Egg Hunt at Big Duck Ranch\, 1012 Flanders Road\, Flanders. The free event (but bring your own basket) will be held on Saturday\, April 19\,12 noon sharp. Families should arrive by 11:45 a.m.. Rain date: Sunday\, April 26. Free admission. \nThe grass field behind the Big Duck will be dotted with filled plastic “duck eggs” that children 2 to 9 years old can easily find. To make it a safe event\, the children are grouped into three separate age groups.  A prize basket is awarded to “The Good Egg” in each group who discovers the special egg. The family fun will include games and a visit from the Easter Bunny. \nFree parking is available in the back of the field behind the Big Duck. Enter on Otter Old Neck Road\,  just east of the Big Duck. \nFriends of The Big Duck\, a non-profit organization\, manages the Long Island Duck Farming exhibit in the Victorian Barn (open to the public on the day of the egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. \nThe Big Duck is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
