They will explain why Christmas celebrations were initially banned by early East End settlers and how they eventually arrived on the North Fork\, primarily as a secular celebration. \n– The Cichanowicz Farmhouse will recreate a Polish Christmas Eve celebration from the 1930s. \n– The Hudson-Sydlowski House will host the Country Parlor Holiday Folk Art and Gift Show\, featuring exclusively handcrafted items for holiday shopping. \n– The Trubisz House will feature a charming dollhouse exhibit. \n– Outside\, there will be a demonstration and sampling of traditional bread-making\, using a wood-fired outdoor hearth. Cassandra St. George\, a traditional bread-maker\, will be leading this activity. \n– Strolling carolers will be present to add to the festive atmosphere. \n– There will also be children’s activities and refreshments. \nThe event is open to the public and admission is free.
