SUMMARY:Long Island History Hunt: An Epic Adventure Across Historical Sites
DESCRIPTION:The Long Island History Hunt\, a free adventure across 12 historical sites\, kicks off on July 1. This unique event\, organized by the Long Island History Hunt\, invites history enthusiasts and adventurers alike to explore the rich history of Long Island\, from Brooklyn to Montauk. \nThe event features a variety of sites where spies\, patriots\, and presidents have left their mark. Participants will delve into the secrets of the Culper Spy Ring\, explore the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt\, and much more. The past comes alive at every stop\, with each location offering a unique challenge. \nParticipants are invited to take a selfie at each location and upload it to the event website. Those who complete a challenge at any site are automatically eligible to win a prize. But the real glory lies in completing a challenge at all 12 sites. Participants who achieve this feat will earn the title of Revolutionary Trailblazer and be entered into the grand prize drawing. The grand prize includes $500\, an 18th-century-style luncheon at the Ketcham Inn tavern in Center Moriches\, family museum memberships\, and a basket of curated surprises. \nThe event runs through Sept. 30.
