SUMMARY:Dance Lesson with Michelle Vicale-Smith at Mattituck-Laurel Library
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a dance lesson with Michelle Vicale-Smith at the Mattituck-Laurel Library. The lesson will focus on the Hustle\, a dance style that originated in the 1970s during the disco era and evolved from Latin dance styles including mambo\, swing\, ballroom\, and jazz. The dance lesson will take us on a trip to Studio 54\, the iconic discotheque of the era. The lesson is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. The cost of participation is $5 per person\, which is nonrefundable. Registration for the event is required and can be done online at the library’s website.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Mattituck-Laurel Library for ‘Music for Healing\,’ a unique program that utilizes music to strengthen your soul\, mind and body. This program\, scheduled for Aug. 2\, may be beneficial for those recovering from injury or trauma. No musical experience is required. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to build hand-eye coordination\, memory and strength through learning to play simple instruments.
