Topics include boat operation\, navigation\, rules of the road\, equipment\, accidents and emergencies\, fueling and ventilation\, safe loading and powering\, personal watercraft\, and numbering and registration. \nA course book will be provided at check-in. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate the same day. A temporary certification valid for 90 days will be issued. Adults age 18 and older must mail a $10 fee to New York State within the 90-day period to receive a permanent certification card.
