DESCRIPTION:The Riverhead Athletic Club is hosting a Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday\, June 21. The event aims to get kids moving and introduce them to various sports and the stars of Riverhead High School athletics. The run will start at 8 a.m.\, with participants released in waves of 10. \nThe event is open to all ages\, with a special focus on children entering pre-K through eighth grade. However\, children under 12 must have a parent or guardian with them for the entirety of the run. This is not a drop-off event. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of sports offered at Riverhead School District. Various sports stations will be set up around the district property (Pulaski- High School)\, where kids will get the chance to meet Riverhead athletes and learn about their sport. \nThe event offers non-member pricing at $10 per child and preferred member pricing at $8 per child. Adults running with their children are free\, and younger siblings under the age of three are free in strollers. Payments can be made via Venmo (@riverheadathleticclub) or Zelle (RiverheadAthleticClub@gmail.com). \nAll proceeds from the event will benefit the Riverhead Athletic Club\, a not-for-profit\, 501(c) organization. Sponsorships are welcomed\, and all donations are tax-deductible.

DESCRIPTION:The Riverhead Faculty and Community Theatre presents ‘A Christmas Story: The Musical’ at Riverhead High School. This classic tale about little Ralphie’s campaign to get a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas comes to life on stage with music and dance. The show will run for three days from Nov. 22 to Nov. 24. On Nov. 22 and 23\, the show will start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. On Nov. 24\, the show will start at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. The cost of attending the show is $20 for adults and $15 for students. The concert\, also a tribute to our veterans\, will take place on Sunday\, Nov. 10\, 2024\, at 2 p.m. in the Charles Cardona Auditorium at Riverhead High School. \nThe concert will feature some of Maestro Cardona’s favorite selections by notable composers such as Alfred Reed\, Karl King\, Schuman\, Ralph Vaughan William\, Sousa\, and Cardona himself. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music while paying tribute to a beloved conductor and our veterans.
