41st Annual MLK Breakfast

The First Baptist Church of Riverhead and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast Committee will host the 41st annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Long Island (1717 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge).

The program begins at 8 a.m., with doors opening at 7:30 a.m.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Rev. Dr. David L. Kelley II, senior pastor of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Brooklyn.

Organizers will recognize the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 2026 honorees, including:

• Lifetime Achievement Award: the Rev. Charles A. Coverdale, senior pastor of The First Baptist Church of Riverhead.

• Meritorious Award: Vanessa Baird-Streeter, president/CEO of the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island, and Dave Gallo, president/co-founder of Georgica Green Ventures, LLC.

Tickets are $65.
