50th Anniversary of JAWS Discussion with Pat Mundus at North Fork Arts Center

August 30, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

$25

Join the North Fork Arts Center in celebrating the 50th anniversary of JAWS, the legendary 1975 film by Steven Spielberg that forever changed Hollywood and made beachgoers everywhere a little more cautious. This special event, organized in conjunction with the East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation’s exhibition ‘Frank Mundus: The Man & the Monsters’, will take place on Aug. 30, 2025, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The evening will start with a screening of JAWS, followed by a live Q&A with Pat Mundus, the daughter of the late Frank Mundus—Montauk’s infamous shark hunter and the real-life inspiration for Jaws’ unforgettable character, Quint. Pat will share firsthand stories of growing up at the edge of the sea with one of the ocean’s most notorious figures—and tales of sharks that are as thrilling as any blockbuster.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan, a maritime buff, or just love a good fish tale, this is an evening you won’t want to miss. Tickets are limited and proceeds will benefit both North Fork Arts Center and the East End Seaport Museum. The cost of the ticket is $25. For more information, visit the North Fork Arts Center website or contact them at 631-477-8600 or info@northfork-artscenter.org.
