Hallockville Museum Farm, a preserved 28-acre farm homestead, is hosting its annual Fleece & Fiber Festival on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If it rains, the festival will be held on Sunday, May 18. The festival is recognized as one of the largest celebrations of fiber arts and crafts in the area. This year’s festival will include:
– Displays and demonstrations of knitting, crocheting, quilting, weaving, spinning, basket weaving, and sheep shearing
– New hands-on workshops in knitting, crocheting, and weaving
– Sheep and llama shearing at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
– Guided tours of the historic Hallock Homestead
– Live traditional American music
– More than 20 vendors
– Food trucks
Admission is $10 for those aged 13 and older. Children under 12 can enter for free. There is an additional fee for workshops. More details can be found at the event’s website.
