Join the Hallockville Museum Farm on Nov. 11 for a hands-on beekeeping class focused on winter preparation. As fall comes to a close, it’s crucial for beekeepers to help their bees survive the cold winter months. Led by master beekeeper Chris Kelly, participants will construct quilt boxes and make candy boards for the beehives at Hallockville. Depending on the number of participants, attendees may also be able to take home their own quilt box or candy board. The class is not free and costs $25 for museum members and $35 for non-members.
