Blessing of the Animals at Old Steeple Community Church

Old Steeple Community Church is set to hold its annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Oct. 8. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m., following the 10 a.m. worship service. Regardless of the weather, the blessings will take place, so attendees are encouraged to come rain or shine.

All creatures, great and small, are invited to receive blessings. However, it’s important to note that all animals must be leashed or crated for everyone’s safety. The blessings will take place in the church parking lot, and the event will include music and scripture readings to honor our animal friends.

In addition to the blessings, the event will also feature an outdoor coffee hour, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the coffee hour will be held indoors in the Fellowship Hall.

While the event is free to attend, a free-will donation will be collected. The collected funds will benefit the North Fork Animal Welfare League, a local animal welfare organization.
