Book talk and signing with historian Richard A. Wines

The Flanders Village Historical Society will host an author talk and book signing with local author and historian Richard A. Wines. Wines will discuss his book, “A Farm Family on Long Island’s North Fork: The Lost World of the Hallocks and Their Sound Avenue Community,” which traces the history of an agricultural community on the North Fork through the story of the last family to live in the old homestead at the Hallockville Museum Farm.

Following the talk, Wines will take questions from the audience and then remain to greet attendees and sign books. Copies will be available for purchase, and the author will donate a portion of that evening’s book sale proceeds to the historical society.
