The Suffolk Theater in Riverhead is hosting a special concert, Celebrating Meat Loaf, on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. The show features American Idol winner Caleb Johnson and Meat Loaf’s official band, Neverland Express. The event is not just a tribute, but a celebration of Meat Loaf’s music, created by his record producer, music director, and guitarist, Paul Crook. The band includes musicians who toured with Meat Loaf, led by Paul Crook and featuring John Miceli on drums, Randy Flowers on guitar, and Lyssa Lynne on vocals. The band promises to stay true to the original recordings while delivering the excitement of a live Meat Loaf show. The lead vocalist, Caleb Johnson, is known for his powerful delivery of Meat Loaf’s booming ballads. Johnson, the winner of American Idol season 13, will bring his unique stamp to such classics as “Bat Out of Hell”, “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” and “I Would Do Anything For Love”. Tickets for the show range from $60 to $90, plus applicable fees, and can be purchased online.
