Classic Albums Live Performs The Beatles’ Abbey Road at Suffolk Theater

Suffolk Theater is set to host a unique performance by Classic Albums Live (CAL) on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at 8 p.m. CAL, known for its meticulous recreations of classic rock albums, will be performing The Beatles’ iconic album, Abbey Road. The performance promises to be a note-for-note, cut-for-cut rendition of the album, with no distracting costumes or impersonations.

CAL, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023, has earned a reputation for its faithful renditions of classic albums. The performance at Suffolk Theater will be divided into two parts: the first half will feature a faithful rendition of Abbey Road, and the second half will feature a selection of The Beatles’ greatest hits.

Abbey Road, released in 1969, is celebrated for its innovative production and diverse musical styles, blending rock, pop, and early hints of progressive rock. Standout tracks include ‘Come Together,’ ‘Something,’ and the medley on Side Two. The album cover, featuring the band crossing Abbey Road, is one of the most famous images in music history.
