Faculty and Staff Art Exhibit

From Feb. 1 to March 2, Suffolk County Community College will be hosting an Art Exhibit at the Eastern Campus’ Lyceum Gallery in Riverhead. The exhibit will feature works of art created by the college’s faculty and staff members. The exhibiting artists and their works include:

– Professor John Stefanik, who teaches 2D Design and History of Photography, will be displaying his black and white photographs of Long Island’s East End.
– Professor Beth Giles, who teaches Drawing and Art History, will be exhibiting her handmade paper reliefs.
– Professor Chris Bohrs, who teaches Drawing, Painting and Digital Illustration, will be showing his acrylic paintings on canvas.
– Principal Library Clerk Jeannette Fischer will be exhibiting her oil paintings on canvas.
– Professor Margery Gosnell-Qua, who teaches Drawing and Art History, will be showing her large oil paintings on canvas.
– Professor Ralph Masullo, who teaches Photography, will be exhibiting his color photographs.
– Professor Chris Vivas, who teaches 3D Design, will be presenting his ceramic sculptures.
– Professor Ruth Makofski, who teaches Drawing, will be presenting her acrylic paintings.
– Professor Annemarie Waugh, who teaches 3D Design and Digital Illustration, will be exhibiting her collages.
– Professor Kathryn Odell-Hamilton, who teaches Digital Illustration, will be exhibiting her oil paintings on paper.
– Professor Andrea Cote will be showing her printmaking works on paper.

An artists’ reception open to the public will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Gallery hours are:
– Mondays to Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (exceptions: closes at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and closed Monday, Feb. 19)
– Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
– Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
