The Suffolk Theater is set to host a unique musical experience, ‘Evil Woman: The American ELO’, on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at 8 p.m. This multimedia concert is a celebration of the music of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), a UK-based band known for their epic song structures, grand orchestrations, and great melodies.
The American ELO, picking up where the Beatles left off in 1970, will present a full 12-piece band including violins, violas, and cellos. Their commitment to detail, from vocal harmonies to string arrangements, is intended to be as accurate as possible to how ELO originally intended it.
In addition to the music, ‘Evil Woman’ will feature unique video content for each song, bringing to life ELO’s smash hits like ‘Mr. Blue Sky’, ‘Telephone Line’, ‘Don’t Bring Me Down’, ‘Livin’ Thing’, ‘Evil Woman’, ‘Roll Over Beethoven’ and more.
Tickets for the concert range from $59 to $79, plus applicable fees, and are available online at TheSuffolk.org.
The Suffolk, a meticulously restored Art Deco venue, is the last original Art Deco theater on Long Island and regularly showcases acts including Grammy Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends, nationally renowned comedians, theater, family & children shows, and much more.
