Funny Women of a Certain Age at The Suffolk

The Suffolk Theater is set to host Funny Women of a Certain Age, Showtime’s highest rated comedy special in 2019, on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. This comedy special was created by Carole Montgomery, a stand-up comedy veteran of over 40 years, to give older women comics a chance to be seen and heard. The show features six women over the age of 50, making television history as the first comedy special to feature such a lineup.

The performance will include:

– Carole Montgomery: A respected veteran of the standup comedy scene nationwide, with over two dozen television credits to her name.

– Lynne Koplitz: A New York-born comedian who has been featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Comedy Knockout, and had her own special Comedy Central Presents Lynne Koplitz.

– Missy Hall: A comedian, speaker, breast cancer survivor and actress who uses happiness as a coping mechanism. She performs with the national touring show “Women of a Certain Age” and “Ladies of Laughter”.
