GUNK In-Concert at Jamesport Meeting House

The Jamesport Meeting House will be hosting an exciting concert on Saturday, Jan. 4. The eight-piece, Motown-inspired girl funk band, GUNK, will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Comprised of local music teachers and musicians, GUNK brings a big, brassy, up-to-the-minute sound that draws inspiration from the original Motown girl groups of the 1950s and 60s. The band’s energetic and wildly entertaining music is sure to rock the New Year and keep spirits bright, appealing to all ages. Instruments featured in the band include guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, trombone, alto saxophone, tenor/baritone saxophone, and vocals. Tickets for the concert are only $10 and can be purchased online through the Jamesport Meeting House website. The venue, located at 1590 Main Rd. (Route 25) in Jamesport, is the oldest public building on the East End and is noted for its outstanding acoustics, as well as its historical value.
