Hallockville Museum Farm Architectural Walking Tour

Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead will host a guided architectural walking tour of its historic buildings on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The 28-acre preserved North Fork homestead features architecture that presents a snapshot into rural families’ experiences building, working, and living in their homes, barns, and outbuildings from 1765 to 1938. Historic building preservation specialist Zachary Studenroth will lead tour participants through the Hallock Homestead, circa 1765; the Cichanowicz Farmhouse, built in the early 1900s; the 1938 Naugles Barn; and other Hallockville buildings. Studenroth will present an examination of the authenticity of these structures and explain their roles in traditional farm life.
