The Center for Advocacy, Support & Transformation (CAST) is hosting an evening of small ensemble instrumental music performed by the Harlem Chamber Players on Saturday, June 1. The event, held in honor of Black Music Month, will take place at CAST’s Treiber Gathering Hall. The program will feature two violinists, a viola player and a cellist.
The evening will commence with a special workshop and demonstration for young music enthusiasts aged seven to 12 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This will be followed by an all-ages show starting promptly at 7 p.m. Doors for the performance will open at 6:30 p.m.
The Harlem Chamber Players will perform a concert titled ‘American Dreams.’ The concert is part of a series presenting works by Black composers and other composers of color. Notably, the program will feature compositions by Grammy winner Jessie Montgomery.
Admission for both the workshop and the performance is free. For more information and to reserve your free tickets, visit the Harlem Chamber Players’ website.
