North Fork Arts Center will host an improv comedy workshop for students ages 11 to 15, taught by screenwriter, comedian and arts educator Katy Berry.
The weeklong class runs Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, and introduces the fundamentals of improv through games and exercises focused on yes-and, world building, truth in comedy, listening and trusting instincts. No prior acting experience is required.
The workshop is limited to 16 students. Participants should bring their own snacks and drinks.
The program concludes with a live class show for friends and family on Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m. Scholarships are available by request.
