International Overdose Awareness Day: Free Narcan Training

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital, in partnership with Community Action for Social Justice, will hold a free Narcan training in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day.

Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose, respond in an emergency and administer Narcan. The training will also cover recovery resources available on the North Fork. Free Narcan kits will be distributed to participants.

Light fare and mocktails will be served. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple in remembrance of those lost to overdose and in support of individuals, families and loved ones impacted by substance use.
