North Fork Arts Center will host an introductory animation workshop with Elanna Allen and Jimena Faerber for students ages 6 and up. The workshop is limited to 12 students.
Students will create short films using pixilation, a stop-motion technique that uses people as the animated characters. Participants will develop storyboards, build sets and props, and film their movies. The workshop ends with a screening of the students’ films.
Participants should bring their own snacks and drinks. Scholarships are available; email the organizer for details. Parents and friends are invited to a premiere screening on Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at the arts center.
