North Fork Arts Center will host an introductory animation workshop for students ages six and up, led by Elanna Allen and Jimena Faerber. The three-day workshop introduces pixilation, a stop-motion technique that uses people as puppets.
Students will develop their own short films from start to finish, including storyboarding, creating sets and props, and filming. No previous animation experience is required. Enrollment is limited to 12 students, and participants should bring their own snacks and drinks.
The workshop concludes with a premiere screening of the students’ films at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25. Parents and friends are welcome to attend the screening.
Scholarships are available; email the organizer for details.
