Kids Cooking Club at Flanders Youth Center

Southampton Youth Bureau is hosting a Kids Cooking Club for children in grades four to eight every Thursday from Oct. 19 to Dec. 7. The sessions will be held at the Flanders Youth Center on 655 Flanders Road, Riverhead, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn the basics of culinary and kitchen safety skills under the guidance of Chef Keith, a seasoned professional with a master’s degree in social work and decades of experience working with youth.

In addition to cooking, Chef Keith’s curriculum will also focus on the principles of social and emotional education. The cost for the seven-week session is $100, but scholarships are available. Please note that space is very limited and pre-registration is required.
