The Heart of Riverhead Civic Association is hosting a meeting on landscaping with native plants. The meeting will be led by Taralynn Reynolds, who will discuss the many benefits of using native plants in landscaping. Participants will learn how using native plants can reduce yard work, irrigation, and fertilizing, while attracting bees and butterflies. The meeting is set to take place at the Riverhead Free Library. The event is free and open to the public. It will be held on two dates, April 16 and April 20, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
