Discover the medicinal properties of plants on a guided walking tour at Hallockville Museum Farm on Saturday, June 7. The tour, led by certified nutrition counselor Toni Kaste, will take participants around the 28-acre preserved farm homestead, exploring gardens, pathways, and hidden corners for plants with beneficial uses.
Kaste, a hobby farmer and homesteader, has extensive knowledge of herbs and alternative practices. She also has a love for gardening, including ‘weeds’ and herbs, and is a reenactor of historical crafts, life skills, and traditional music.
The tour will start at 10 a.m. and will last until 11:30 a.m. It is free for museum members and costs $10 for nonmembers. Interested individuals are encouraged to register in advance at www.hallockville.org or by calling 631-298-5292.
