The Suffolk presents Michael Harrison’s Ventastic, a one-man, laugh-out-loud romp into the past with a new up-to-date twist on the long-lost art form of ventriloquism. Michael Harrison, an award-winning ventriloquist and puppeteer based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, turns ventriloquism upside-down with his original puppets and creative routines that have amazed audiences of all ages for over 30 years. He channels the talents of his legendary great grandfather, Frank Merryfield, a vaudeville ventriloquist, into his performance. Michael has worked with Kelly Clarkson, The Muppets and Boyz to Men. He has headlined on the world’s most luxurious cruise lines, performed at corporate events, comedy clubs, festivals, and luxury resorts. He received glowing reviews from the celebrity judges when he appeared on America’s Got Talent. He has written and performed on the award-winning television show “Kids in the Firehall” and is the star of the reality television pilot “The Dummy Test”. His performance is described as “Hilarious-Amazing-Unforgettable” and “Brilliant” by Simon Cowell of America’s Got Talent. Disney describes his show as a “five-star show for all ages”. The performance will take place on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $39 to $45, plus applicable fees, and can be purchased online at TheSuffolk.org.
